If you are taking regular medication you will be given a repeat prescription request form every time you renew your prescription. Clearly tick only those items required. Please ensure that you only tick the items you require on your repeat slip.
Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form.
We DO NOT accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
We aim to have your repeat prescription processed, signed and ready for collection within 48 hours of it having been received at the Surgery. Please remember, however, that prescription requests submitted at weekends and bank holidays will take longer to process. If you require it to be posted please provide a stamped addressed envelope. Some local pharmacies offer a prescription collection and dispensing service, and will be happy to provide details.
Patients taking regular medication may be asked to make an appointment for a medicines review every six months, or annually.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
